Abstract

Zusammenfassung In Folge der Digitalisierung, einem der bedeutendsten Innovationstreiber des 21. Jahrhunderts, werden ehemals rein physische Produkte um digitale Technologien erweitert (vgl. (Echterfeld und Gausmeier, .International Journal of Innovation Management 22:1–27, 2018), (Yoo, .MIS Quarterly 34:213–231, 2010)). Das ermöglicht digitale Innovationen im Sinne neuartiger Marktangebote wie zum Beispiel Connected-Car-Services (vgl. Bosler et al. (2019)). Etablierte Unternehmen streben mit der Intention einer Wettbewerbsdifferenzierung an, dieses Innovationspotenzial auszunutzen und ihre Produkte um digitale Funktionalitäten zu erweitern (vgl. (Yoo, .MIS Quarterly 34:213–231, 2010), (Echterfeld und Gausmeier, .International Journal of Innovation Management 22:1–27, 2018)).
