Abstract

Zusammenfassung Viele Definitionen sozialer Roboter sind moralisch aufgeladen und schließen daher reale und vor allem in der Science-Fiction auftretende Roboter aus der Klasse sozialer Roboter oft aus. Ausgehend von einer alternativen Definition, die auf der Konzeption sozialen Handelns bei Max Weber aufbaut, wird für eine moralisch neutrale Sichtweise auf soziale Roboter plädiert. Dies ist notwendig, um die in der Regel moralisch ambivalenten sozialen Roboter in der Science-Fiction überhaupt thematisieren zu können. Es werden drei Zeiträume identifiziert, in denen soziale Roboter in der Science-Fiction auf sehr unterschiedliche Weise präsentiert werden. Schließlich werden Gründe skizziert, warum eine wissenschaftliche Beschäftigung mit sozialen Robotern in der Science-Fiction sinnvoll sein kann, um bspw. Fragen der gelingenden Interaktion, der Akzeptanz oder der Technikfolgenabschätzung in Bezug auf solche Maschinen besser beantworten zu können.
