Abstract

Zusammenfassung Humanoide und animaloide Gestaltungen von Robotern orientieren sich im engeren Sinne an der physischen Gestalt von Menschen oder Tieren. Im weiteren Sinne umfassen sie auch anthropomorphe oder zoomorphe Gestaltungselemente wie kognitive Funktionen, simulierte soziale Verhaltensweisen und emotionale Ausdruckselemente. Entsprechende Gestaltungen provozieren den für die soziale Robotik zentralen Effekt des Anthropomorphismus, der einerseits die Mensch-Roboter-Interaktion fördert, andererseits aber auch zu Problemen führt. Ethisch relevant sind Fragen nach (1) der Reproduktion von diskriminierenden Stereotypen, (2) der Behandlung von sozialen humanoiden oder animaloiden Robotern und (3) der Täuschungsproblematik. Die philosophische Diskussion dreht sich schließlich in erster Linie um den Einfluss des mit der Robotergestaltung suggerierten Vergleichs zwischen Maschine und Mensch auf das Menschenbild.
