Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der vorliegende Beitrag befasst sich mit der Bedeutung und Steuerung von Projektaktivitäten in der Praxis. Ausgehend von den Projekteigenschaften und Anforderungen des Projektmanagements werden zunächst die Relevanz und Aufgabenfelder eines durchgängigen Projektcontrollings aufgezeigt. Im Anschluss werden Instrumente dargestellt, die Projektcontroller einsetzen können, um Projektvorhaben zu beurteilen und auszuwählen, Einzelprojekte klassisch zu planen und zu überwachen sowie Entscheidungen im Projektablauf zu unterstützen. Abschließend erfolgt ein Ausblick auf neuere Entwicklungen im Projektcontrolling aufgrund der fortschreitenden Digitalisierung und Agilität im Projektmanagement. Die Inhalte des Beitrages basieren auf langjährigen Praxiserfahrungen im Controlling und Risikomanagement von Projekten sowie wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen.
