Abstract

Zusammenfassung Durch die immer komplexer werdenden Strukturen, Prozesse sowie Abhängigkeiten innerhalb der Wertschöpfungsketten ist ihre Verwundbarkeit gegenüber Risiken in den vergangenen Jahren stark gestiegen. Dabei können Risiken unterschiedlichen Ursprungs sein und dementsprechend verschiedenartige Auswirkungen haben (Christopher und Peck 2004). Einschneidende Ereignisse, wie Naturkatastrophen oder Terroranschläge, hatten z.B. in der Vergangenheit zeitweise vollständige Unterbrechungen von Lieferketten zur Folge.
