Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Zusammenhang mit Blockchain und Distributed Ledger Technologie (DLT) werden Logistik, Transport und Materialversorgung häufig als erfolgsversprechende Einsatzgebiete bezeichnet. Dabei werden eine Vielzahl potentieller Anwendungen genannt, wie z. B. die Verfolgung und Rückverfolgung von Waren (Petersen und Hackius 2017), die Vereinfachung der Zollverfahren (Burnson 2017), die Versicherung von Transporten (Kathri 2018) oder die Aufdeckung gefälschter Waren (Galvez et al. 2018). Im gleichen Sinne wecken so genannte Internet of Things (IoT) Geräte hohe Erwartungen hinsichtlich einer Verbesserung von Logistikprozessen durch eine bessere Vernetzung von Objekten und Akteuren und transparentere Informationsflüsse.
