Ziele und Notwendigkeit von Public Affairs aus Sicht von Interessengruppen

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Interessengruppen sind für das Funktionieren des politischen Systems notwendig. Ihre Aufgabe ist es, Interessenpositionen aus der Gesellschaft in Richtung des politischen Entscheidungszentrums zu transportieren. Sie mobilisieren auch Unterstützer und betreiben Agenda Setting in der Gesellschaft. Public Affairs ist ein wesentliches Instrument, um in beide Richtungen zu kommunizieren. Lobbying und Campaigning als die beiden wesentlichen Kommunikationsinstrumente müssen wohl abgewogen und je nach Bedarf und Zielgegenstand eingesetzt werden. Viele Interessengruppen bilden daher ein Public-Affairs-Management aus, das zu einer wesentlichen Aufgabe der Organisationsführung wird. Nicht alle Interessengruppen entwickeln sich in diese Richtung. Die Vielfältigkeit in verfügbaren Ressourcen, Organisationstraditionen, Einbindungsformen in das politische System und Gewichtung gesellschaftlicher Akzeptanz führt zu unterschiedlichen Formen von Interessengruppen und Einbindungen von Public Affairs.
