Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag setzt sich mit Expertise, der Vermittlung von Wissen, als kommunikativem Ansatzpunkt von Public Affairs auseinander. Zu Beginn wird die Relevanz von Expertenwissen für den politischen Prozess im Kontext moderner Wissensgesellschaften erläutert. Dazu werden grundlegende Begriffe wie Experte bzw. Expertin und Expertise diskutiert und unterschiedliche Formen von Expertenwissen vorgestellt. Die Rolle von Expertise im Rahmen von Public Affairs wird dann am Beispiel von spezifischen Präsentationsformen (z. B. Studien), Formaten (Kommissionen, Konsultationen, Policy Briefings) sowie Strategien (Thought Leadership, Institutionelle Ansätze) zur Einbringung von Expertenwissen in den politischen Prozess vermittelt. Der Beitrag baut auf aktueller wissenschaftlicher Forschung im Feld auf, greift aber auch auf grundlegende wissenssoziologische Betrachtungen einerseits und Praxisperspektiven andererseits zurück. Er schließt mit einem Ausblick für künftige Forschungsfelder sowie Herausforderungen auf diesem Gebiet.
