Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag setzt bei den Rahmenbedingungen von Public Affairs an und befasst sich aus Sicht des Forschungsfeldes Politische Kommunikation mit grundlegenden Aspekten der Interessenvertretung und -vermittlung. Es werden zentrale Begriffe, die grundlegend für ein Verständnis von Public Affairs sind, aufgegriffen und diskutiert: Interessen, ihre Verbindung mit Organisationen, sowie Prozesse der Interessenvermittlung in neuen Formen der politischen Entscheidungsfindung wie Governance. Der Beitrag hebt die verschiedenen Dimensionen des Begriffs Interesse hervor und plädiert dafür, ihn einerseits breit, andererseits aber auch präzise zu fassen.
