Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Zeitung stirbt, zumindest ein nicht unerheblicher Teil. Dieser Tod war vorhersehbar und doch schmerzt er, denn der Tod ist ein Abschied mit Endgültigkeit. Journalisten, Redaktionsassistenten, Layouter, Drucker, immer mehr von ihnen sind überflüssig geworden in den vergangenen Jahren, in denen das Internet bedeutsam wurde. Ihr Handwerk dauert zu lange. Das passt nicht ins Umsatzsteigerungsprofil der Verlage. Also entsorgen bitte. Keine Zeit für diskussionsfreudige Runden, in denen Krisenherde analysiert oder Versprechen der Politiker als Lüge entlarvt werden. Beschleunigung ist angesagt. Worte erklären die Welt – dieses Motto ist ein Relikt in Redaktionen.
