Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wir haben die Macht, diese Generation zur besten in der Geschichte der Menschheit zu machen, oder aber zur letzten, die existieren wird (John F. Kennedy). Zwei Tage nach der Veröffentlichung der ersten Bitcoin‐Clientversion im Januar 2009 wurde der erste Block der Blockchain (der Genesis-Block) von Satoshi Nakamoto geschürft (030109). Am 12. Januar 2009 fand die erste Bitcoin‐Transaktion statt: Nakamoto transferierte 10 XBT an den Softwareentwickler Hal Finney. Am 5. Oktober 2009 wurden erstmals bitcoins gegen US‐Dollar getauscht. Der errechnete Umtauschkurs (basierend auf dem notwendigen Energieaufwand) wurde auf New Liberty Standard publiziert und betrug 1392,33 XBT/BTC für 1 US‐Dollar. In das Script des ersten Genesis Blocks nimmt Nakamoto die damalige Schlagzeile der Financial Times auf: Chancellor on brinks to second bailout for banks, womit er eines seiner Hauptargumente für die Bitcoin‐Architektur endgültig in der Blockchain festgehalten hat.
