QoS-Driven Dynamic Pricing Mechanism of SaaS in Cloud Services

Abstract

Combining the Quality of Service (QoS) with SaaS pricing, a QoS-driven Software as a Service (SaaS) dynamic pricing mechanism was proposed in this paper. This research analyzed the pricing principle, gave the corresponding algorithm, and described the pricing process. Using this pricing mechanism, SaaS users can find the tradeoff between the best price and performance, and SaaS providers can maximize their profits by improving the resource utilization. Simulation experiments have shown that the algorithm is effective and reasonable.
