Abstract

Developing low carbon transportation is the inherent requirement of sustainable development of urban transportation, as well as an effective way to deal with the greenhouse effect. After treating the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system as the research object, this paper established an index system of the multiple attribute decision for BRT system by considering low carbon factors, and proposed methods of the BRT system multiple attribute decision making using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory. The case study was conducted on the basis of BRT line 1, line 2 and line 3 in Beijing, which verified the effectiveness of the proposed index system and decision making methods.
