Abstract

In search of the conceptual roots of modern logistics – the logistics of flows and flow systems – one further important contribution is the explicit introduction of the dimension of time. It was a consultant, George Stalk, long time senior associate and fellow with Boston Consulting Group, who in 1988 published his seminal article Time – The Next Source of Competitive Advantage in Harvard Business Review.
