Abstract

Energy Informatics is an emerging discipline concerned with using information systems to reduce energy consumption. The relationship between Energy Informatics and data and process management is examined. A new era of sensor network data is identified. Three aspects of business process management, case management, complex event processing, and key performance indicators are examined. The chapter shows how these three BPM technologies fit into an energy management systems general model.
