Abstract

As we made clear in our introduction, this book is aimed at executives and at master and EMBA students as future executives. In line with the needs of this audience, the focus of this book has been on practical recommendations. We began by devoting Parts I and II of the book to a comprehensive introduction to internationalization itself and to strategic planning. The last three parts of the book show how strategies for going and being international can be developed. Part III looked at going international for new markets, Part VI at developing an internationalization strategy for production and sourcing and Part V examined strategic planning in international companies.
