„Return on Investment“ oder Die sieben Kugeln

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Bestimmt kennen Sie das Spiel mit den sieben Kugeln, das auf vielen Schreibtischen steht. Die Kugeln, meist aus Metall, hängen einander berührend in einer Reihe an einem Gestänge. Wenn Sie eine der beiden äußeren Kugel mit etwas Schwung gegen die anderen stoßen, bleiben die fünf in der Mitte in Ruhe, die siebte nimmt den Impuls auf und schwingt nach außen weg. Nehmen Sie zwei Kugeln und lassen diese gegen die anderen schwingen, schwingen die beiden letzten nach außen weg und so fort. Soviel Kugeln, wie Sie auf die anderen stoßen, soviel schwingen auch an der anderen Seite weg. Die anderen bleiben jeweils in der Mitte in Ruhe.
