Abstract

This case tells the story of Enhancv, a startup founded with the ambition to enable job candidates to build attractive professional profiles that make them stand out and increase their chance of getting a job interview for their desired position. On its path to growth, the company experienced several different challenges: from internal conflicts and team challenges to recruiting a sufficient number of initial users and raising sufficient funds. An interesting milestone in the story is an original viral marketing campaign that creates a lot of buzz around Enhancv and unlocks new market opportunities. A lesson to be learned from this story is the importance of investing in the building of distinctive company culture that creates a strong team spirit and becomes the foundation for successful growth. The case presents the perspective of one of the company founders and one of the angel investors in Enhancv.
