Abstract

This chapter explores the transformative role of green fintech and digital transformation in advancing sustainable finance. Green fintech, which integrates financial technology with sustainability goals, leverages innovations like blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital platforms to enhance ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices. Blockchain improves transparency and accountability, particularly in supply chain traceability and carbon credit trading, while AI refines ESG data analysis and risk assessments. Digital platforms democratize sustainable finance, enabling broader access to green investments through tools like crowdfunding and micro-investing. Despite its potential, green fintech faces challenges, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance, necessitating international cooperation to standardize frameworks. The chapter concludes that green fintech is pivotal in bridging digital finance with sustainability, fostering a resilient financial ecosystem that prioritizes environmental and social advancements.
