Abstract

As the landscape of global challenges such as poverty, inequality, and climate change becomes increasingly complex, integrating digital technologies into the entrepreneurial process becomes paramount. In the digital age, female entrepreneurship is a transformative force that gives women previously unheard-of chances to launch, run, and expand their businesses. Gender barriers have been broken down by the emergence of digital platforms and technologies, which have democratised access to markets, networks, and resources. Digital transformation enables female entrepreneurs to leverage technological advancements to address these challenges effectively, making it a key component of international entrepreneurship. This holistic approach not only drives economic growth but also enhances the quality of life of the female and fosters global cooperation. This chapter will address the significant role of technology in the entrepreneurial context and in empowering female digital entrepreneurship. The chapter will also cover how technology affects female entrepreneurs personally and professionally and highlight the trade-off of technology on female digital entrepreneurship. The chapter concludes with a case study about ‘Chiara Ferragni’, a successful Italian influencer and female digital international entrepreneur in the fashion industry.
