Abstract

Due to AI’s global relevance in corporate landscapes, leadership approaches must embrace its integration. This chapter delves into the intricate relationships between corporate leadership and AI. The initial focus is on comprehending the MENA environment before AI implementation, followed by outlining the chapter’s objectives and scope. Economic, industrial, and socio-cultural factors influencing leadership dynamics in the MENA business environment are examined. Subsequently, AI’s impact on corporate strategy is explored through real-world examples, highlighting its efficacy and exploring MENA-specific opportunities and risks. Legislative frameworks, ethical decision-making, and data privacy in AI usage are thoroughly evaluated. The importance of AI training for corporate leaders and technology partners is emphasized. Cultural and corporate issues, including fostering innovation and overcoming resistance to change, are addressed. The conclusion suggests that AI may alter MENA corporate leaders’ perspectives on leadership, necessitating proactive adaptation and innovation to thrive in an AI-centric future.
