Abstract

The chapter discusses the transition from traditional competitive business strategies to innovative, collaborative, and sustainable models. A key focus is the shift to sustainable business practices, emphasizing the importance of integrating social and environmental responsibility into corporate strategies. The environmental, social, and governance (ESG) framework is presented as an evolution of corporate social responsibility (CSR) that integrates non-financial factors into business operations and attracts investors interested in long-term value and ethical practices. The chapter advocates stakeholder capitalism, where business success is measured by its impact on people and the planet, not just financial performance. This model emphasizes the alignment of business objectives with broader social and environmental goals. It also examines the rise of digital business platforms such as Google, illustrating how technology is reshaping capitalism. These platforms use strategies such as holographic wrapping to enter and dominate new markets, demonstrating the transformative power of digital innovation.
