Abstract

After more than 35 years of renovation, Vietnam has achieved many achievements in terms of economy, diplomacy, social stability, and maintaining independence and sovereignty. In that context, the innovative use of Vietnam’s leadership resources is crucial to assist the Vietnamese government in overcoming many contemporary challenges. This research methodology embraces the qualitative research method combined with SWOT analysis to evaluate the standards of strategic leadership in Vietnam. The study results are the scientific basis from which to provide recommendations for enhancing the relevant criteria under the new circumstances, ensuring that they are more effective and adaptive to the evolving context. From a policy point, the authors have made recommendations to renew the development of strategic cadres, which can assist Vietnam to create a stable and sustainable socioeconomic system over the long term.
