Policy Analysis and Evaluation of Education Administration in Vietnam

Abstract

The chapter presents some analysis on the implementation of the policy of education administration in Vietnam. The organization of the state management apparatus for education and training in Vietnam is described in the first part. For the system of education management policies proposed by the state, a number of legal documents are mentioned to analyze the current education management policies of Vietnam. Important educational policy highlights over the period are briefly summarized and some current achievements is presented. Some limitations in education management policy in Vietnam are also presented. The factors that determine the implementation of educational management policies are mentioned, which are the basis for making a policy in educational management. An example analysis of the determinants involved in the policy implementation process is also described. In the ending part, some policies on education management in Vietnam need to be promoted in the coming time. The chapter wishes to focus on answering three questions: What are the achievements and limitations of the educational management policy system in Vietnam? What does Vietnam’s education management require in terms of theory, practice, and determinants of participation in policy implementation? What are the future educational management policies of Vietnam that need attention?
