Abstract

This study mentions and analyzes the characteristics of a socialist-oriented market economy with state management and regulation. At the same time, this study analyzes the current situation of education since our country implemented the market economy; analyzes the interactions between education and the market economy; and uses existing forecasting methods to forecast the movement and development of education in Vietnam in the context of implementing the market economy in the coming time. Education will help to realize the task of socioeconomic development, the cause of national defense and security, and the overall development of the Vietnamese people; the market economy will continue to create favorable conditions for mobilizing all of society’s attention, intelligence, and resources to invest in education and training development. This participation includes both nonprofit and for-profit forms, all of which contribute to the development of education and training on a large scale and meet students’ diverse and multilayered learning needs. Society, thereby, assists in the better implementation of the goal of social justice in education and training. The main development trend will be education as a commodity and service. The market mechanism will also necessitate democratic expansion, publicity, and transparency of the education system. Education and training institutions must demonstrate greater social responsibility and accountability to the State, in front of learners, society, and the public. The autonomy of educational institutions is strengthened through increased awareness and accountability.
