The role of entrepreneurship as a catalyst for economic transformation has gained increasing recognition. Entrepreneurial ventures, both small and large, have emerged as pivotal drivers of innovation, economic growth, and societal change. The transformative power of entrepreneurship extends beyond mere wealth creation; it serves as a dynamic force capable of reshaping economies, industries, and communities. Unlocking the entrepreneurial potential in Egypt is a vital pathway toward achieving economic transformation across the continent. With its youthful and rapidly expanding population, abundant natural resources, and diverse markets, Egypt has the opportunity to leverage entrepreneurship as a catalyst for sustainable economic growth, job creation, and improved living standards. This chapter aims to explore the new entrepreneurship trends, the crucial role of entrepreneurship in fostering innovation, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. It also sheds light on the most important measures that have been taken in Egypt to support, promote and benefit from entrepreneurship, and the most important challenges facing entrepreneurs. The chapter then addresses the role of education, especially tourism education, in encouraging and supporting entrepreneurship, and the role of tourism and hotel colleges in developing entrepreneurship. Practical implications for decision-makers, educators and stakeholders to support and develop entrepreneurship are also provided.
