Abstract

On May 26, 2021, oil and gas giant ExxonExxon Mobil reported preliminary vote results from its annual shareholder meeting held earlier that morning. After a grueling six month proxy battle with the hedge fund Engine No. 1Engine No.1, ExxonExxon Mobil announced the election of two of Engine No. 1Engine No.1’s nominees and the reelection of eight of ExxonExxon Mobil’s incumbent directors.
