Abstract

The SDGs are mainly written for nations and for the politicians and institutions of society to create the structural changes of society and legislation to meet the major global challenges, as inequality, hunger, education, sustainable ecosystems, and innovative development of cities, business framework, and infrastructure. This is great educational material and video, as well as the targets, events, publications, and actions, are available free and online at https://sdgs.un.org/goals . This information is available in most languages. This chapter introduces a strategy house of SGDs to assist companies and organizations in selecting and prioritizing relevant SDGs. The link between SDGs and ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) is illustrated. The chapter also walks through the SDGs relevant for private and public-owned companies: SDG#12, SDG#7, SDG#3, SDG# 5, SDG#16 and SDG#17. The important message here is that companies and organizations cannot onboard all 17 development goals and should chose those closest to the core business and to the impacts from their full value chain.
