Abstract

The transition to a Green and Circular Economy and implementing sustainability will create new structures for societies and for businesses, so people can thrive in a fair and sustainable world. This fosters disruption or disruption emerges from new market potentials. New actors will find new solutions based on these new market conditions. Society must transform, and political leaders must dare to set new visions on the transition to a fair and sustainable world. This will disrupt societies, especially the old, industrialized societies. The least developed countries will develop in fair and sustainable ways. The disruption of societies especially in the countries that account for a significant part of the global economy will be met by huge changes in many aspects also from the creation of new consumer patterns and new market conditions for businesses. This chapter dives into the disruption elements, as Industry 4.0, biotech, green transition, new consumer demands and patterns of consumption, purpose over profits, and a global shift of political and economic power for leaders to deal with.
