Abstract

This chapter examines the entrepreneurial landscape in Africa, emphasizing its multifaceted nature and dynamic trends. The chapter highlights the diverse themes of entrepreneurship, including social, gender, faith-based, and youth entrepreneurshipYouth entrepreneurship, as well as the impact of digital technologyDigital technology(ies) and policy frameworks, which are reshaping the continent's entrepreneurial ecosystem. The chapter examined three critical factors: digital divide, regulatory uncertainty, and economic volatilityEconomic volatility that pose obstacles to realizing the full potential of entrepreneurship in Africa. The chapter concludes by offering policy recommendations aimed at creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of access to finance, regulatory reforms, infrastructure development, capacity building, innovation promotion, and regional cooperation. The chapter underscores the importance of adopting holistic approaches, collaborative efforts, and pragmatic actions to support African entrepreneurs in driving sustainable developmentSustainable development and inclusive growth across the African continent.
