Abstract

This chapter provides methods and recommendations on how to approach scope 3, and a method on how to transform into a circular business model. Scope 3 impacts and GHG-emission comes from products and its full value chain. Minimizing scope 3 impacts are significantly more complex that scope 1 and 2. Scope 3 reductions are much more based on the specific industry. The method on developing a circular business model here, is not only harvesting climate impact but also creating resource efficiency and regenerating biodiversity. The work in scope 3 is a never ending journey and is continously minimizing, regenerating ESG impacts by developing new products, new business models and new take-back systems. Using the hands-on methods described here requires insight into the circular Economy and is a continue of chapter 9 on Circular Economy. This chapter ends with a discussion on the Circular Economy in the Cristal Ball.
