Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Einführungskapitel wird die allgemeine Strategie des Buches dargelegt. Es definiert die Defizite der gegenwärtigen Ansätze zum endogenen institutionellen Wandel. Das Buch wird versuchen, einen neuen Rahmen für den institutionellen Wandel zu schaffen, indem es die Theorie des systemischen Zyklus verwendet. Der systemische Zyklus von Arrighi und Silver soll ein globales (prozessbasiertes) und nationales (institutionenbasiertes) Konzept des Kapitalismus liefern, das für diesen Prozess notwendig ist. Dieser Ansatz kann dann von einer ausreichend breiten Analyseeinheit profitieren und die globalen und nationalen institutionellen Triebkräfte identifizieren und analysieren, die zusammenwirken, um unterschiedliche nationale institutionelle Auswirkungen hervorzubringen. In diesem Kapitel wird auch die zentrale Stellung der Arbeitsinstitutionen für den Kapitalismus dargelegt und ein Überblick über das Buch gegeben.
