Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die pharmazeutische Innovation, die aufgrund ihrer wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen ohnehin schon eine Hightech-Industrie ist, erfährt im Zuge der Einführung verschiedener neuer Entdeckungs- und Entwicklungstechnologien einen fundamentalen Wandel. Am offensichtlichsten ist der Aufstieg der Biotech-Industrie, aber auch neue Ansätze in den Bereichen Target Discovery, Hochdurchsatz-Screening, kombinatorische Chemie, Hit- und Lead-Generierung, Bioinformatik, Big Data, Proteomik und Pharmakogenetik verändern die Art und Weise, wie pharmazeutische Forschung und Entwicklung auf Laborebene durchgeführt wird, radikal.
