Abstract

The chapter lays the foundation of why another book on leadership post-COVID-19 is necessary. Despite the many books and articles on leadership, the topic is still a black box with much to be unravelled. Exploring this concept is necessary because of the importance of leadership in organisational performance since without leadership, conflict and underperformance will occur. It argues that there is a need to understand leadership in all the eras of the conceptualisation of work. The chapter closes with a brief description of each part of the book and the chapters.
