Abstract

In his chapter, Jacek Spendel takes reader on the journey of his own discovery of libertarianism. He stresses the accuracy of libertarian answers to the philosophical questions on justice and freedom he asked himself as teenager. Being full-time freedom activist for nearly two decades, Spendel paints a picture of the key institutions and projects that shaped his life. He looks from a distance on his libertarian journey as not merely a philosophical adventure but rather a life-changing experiment. Being adherent of the libertarian thought he also offers a critical perspective on contemporary interpretation of libertarian positions in geopolitics and culture.
