Abstract

Zusammenfassung Zahlreiche lateinamerikanische multinationale Unternehmen haben in den letzten Jahren in Europa investiert. Der vorliegende Beitrag konzentriert sich auf die Expansionsstrategien lateinamerikanischer multinationaler Unternehmen in Europa. Er befasst sich mit lateinamerikanischen multinationalen Unternehmen aus drei Ländern und bettet die Analyse ihrer Expansionsprozesse in den breiteren Kontext der nationalen Entwicklungsverläufe ein. Insbesondere werden die drei wichtigsten Herkunftsländer in Bezug auf ausländische Direktinvestitionen, Brasilien, Mexiko und Chile, analysiert. Es wird festgestellt, dass die Strategien lateinamerikanischer Unternehmen aus diesen Ländern sehr unterschiedlich sind und die Gesamtdynamik der Expansion eng mit den Entwicklungsprozessen der jeweiligen Länder zusammenhängt. Darüber hinaus werden in diesem Kapitel mögliche Strategien für nationale und regionale Behörden erörtert, die an der Ansiedlung lateinamerikanischer multinationaler Unternehmen interessiert sind. Dies hat wichtige Implikationen für regionale europäische Standort- und Entwicklungsstrategien.
