Abstract

The standard economic model is not sustainable because of the many negative externalities it produces and its major impact on global warming and biodiversity. It is also unsustainable for the inequalities it feeds and which weaken the very foundations of the democracy. These two unsustainabilities unfortunately combine. To address these issues, another managerial revolution is needed, the one that will call upon a crucial solution: solidarity. Solidarity management promotes indeed another imaginary where natural world does not obey the law of the strongest and builds itself through mutual aid and common pool resources.
