Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Bedeutung des methodologischen Individualismus ist nicht ganz eindeutig, selbst unter Ökonomen der österreichischen Schule – kann alles Handeln auf das Individuum reduziert werden, wie Rothbard und seine Anhänger Mises überzeugend argumentiert haben, oder muss die Interaktion zwischen Individuen ebenso wichtig sein? Hodgson (2007) untersucht die Geschichte des Begriffs und seine verschiedenen Bedeutungen und argumentiert, dass „trotz seines häufigen Auftretens kein Konsens über seinen Sinn und Gebrauch besteht“ (Hodgson 2007, S. 212).
