Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das österreichische Konzept des zielgerichteten menschlichen Handelns beruht auf der Annahme, dass es in der Natur des Menschen liegt, stets die eigene Position oder Situation zu verbessern. Kirzner geht davon aus, dass Individuen diese „Zielstrebigkeit“ besitzen, und kommt so zu seiner Schlussfolgerung, dass der Unternehmer Marktungleichgewichtsgewinne beseitigen kann, indem er ausgleichende Tendenzen erzeugt. Der methodologische Individualismus nimmt die Präferenzen als gegeben an, aber der menschliche Geist wird von anderen Köpfen beeinflusst, die Präferenzen von anderen Menschen, und die Zielstrebigkeit von der Kultur, den Menschen, den Umständen und unzähligen anderen Faktoren. In Anbetracht dessen müssen Kirzners Schlussfolgerungen hinterfragt werden.
