Abstract

Zusammenfassung Österreichische Ökonomen betrachten den Subjektivismus als zentral für die Wirtschaftstheorie, da Carl Mengers Beitrag zur marginalen Revolution die Grundlage für das dynamische Modell der modernen österreichischen Schule bildete. Unsere These ist, dass die österreichische Interpretation des „Subjektivismus, der sich aus den bahnbrechenden Erkenntnissen von Carl Menger, dem Begründer der österreichischen Schule, entwickelt hat“ (S. 41), zwar tatsächlich dynamischer und realitätsnäher ist als die der anderen „Lehrtraditionen innerhalb der modernen Ökonomie“, aber dennoch an der Einschränkung leidet, dass sie alles menschliche Handeln – nicht nur das rein wirtschaftliche – mit einem methodologischen Individualismus begründet, der das Individuum isoliert und vom Eigeninteresse abhängt.
