Developing Routines for Delivering Consistency and Dealing with Failure: The Webtech Case

Abstract

Since its inception in 2015, Webtech has specialized in developing e-commerce websites. The Webtech team decided to serve B2B customers and worked to become one of the first certified online shop developers in Sweden. Apart from developing online e-commerce websites, the team also works with maintaining and customizing already established websites and fixing bugs. Initially, the Webtech team included five members, three members were located in Sweden: Arthur (the founder), Daniel and Eric (account handlers). The remaining two members were programmers (John and Steve) and have worked remotely from Vietnam. At a later stage, Hanna (marketing manager) joined to manage marketing and social media activities for Webtech. On several occasions, Arthur, claimed that they work like doctors, helping customers fix the dark side of any system.
