Abstract

The Chapter reviews the literature on the use of nostalgia in the sport tourism domain. Through a systematic review approach, the Chapter synthesizes the relevant literature on this topic in an attempt to provide scholars and practitioners with a comprehensive and detailed framework about the effects arising from leveraging nostalgia in one of the fastest-growing tourism sectors. After being grouped into broad categories related to their methodology, the reviewed articles are described in terms of their main findings and relevant notes. By outlining the available evidence, the Chapter aims to foster knowledge and debate on the use of nostalgia in the sport tourism domain and advance scholarly and practitioners.
