Abstract

Innovative service design has become popular in recent years, particularly in healthcare. Innovative service design thinking can be used to differentiate organizations from their competition and help them to compete in global markets. In order for organizations to implement innovative services designs, it is important for them to understand the challenges with service design thinking for global health, identify innovative ways of thinking about service design in healthcare on a global scale, and understand the process of implementing an innovative service design on a global scale. Frameworks such as the ExpandNet/World Health Organization Scaling-Up Strategy are important for providing a strategy for organizations to follow. For healthcare organizations to be successful in the current market faced with rapid advancement of technology and globalization, innovative service design is essential.
