Abstract

The relationship between entrepreneurship and universities is a key factor in the educational, social, and economic development of individuals, groups, businesses, and regions. More specifically, combining the goals of both enterprise and higher education results in creative, innovative, and autonomous behaviours. In this chapter, Crammond outlines the core aim of this book and its structure, and provides an introduction to the entrepreneurship-related aspects of pedagogical perspectives and philosophies. Also, institutional and stakeholder relevancy is appreciated, as well as discussing approaches to teaching and impactful enterprising activities. This chapter also highlights the distinct features of the book, including case study examples, core questions, worksheets, and the book’s University Model for Entrepreneurship (UM4E).
