Abstract

Large parts of the business landscape are now fraught with uncertainty. This is not a bad thing. A key message of the book is that uncertainty portends both losses and gains. There are situations where individuals and businesses should cherish and embrace uncertainty. Having said that, a sizable part of the business environment is still relatively stable, where changes occur at a sedate pace. Strategies that work well within domains of high uncertainty will not be effective within the stable ones. There is a saying that you need horses for courses and this holds true when it comes to strategic decision-making as well.
