Abstract

Panino Giusto S.p.A is an international casual dining restaurant chain, with an overall turnover of 25 million euros, and 25 stores located across major cities in Italy with different service styles (in-person dining and to-go formats). Born in 1979 in Milan, and later on acquired in 2010 by Antonio Civita and Elena Riva, the company has as its central mission to present the Italian Panino as the right way to nourish, respecting not only oneself, but also the environment, all the while valorizing the panino as a true symbol and lever for Made in Italy excellence. What distinguishes Antonio Civita and Elena Riva as leaders in the food and beverage industry is not only his adeptness to perfectly balance the tradition of Made in Italy with innovation to be the leader in his industry, but it is also doing it with a deep sense of purpose, to benefit and improve the people, environment and community that Panino Giusto works in, representing perfectly the business implications of important trends such as authenticity, digitization and tech, sustainability and transparency.
