Abstract

The future seems to be a matter of learning, i.e., to build on possible experiences, as well as to avoid repeating practices that do not seem to take one forward. And this should take place in a straightforward, speedy way, without procrastination. To deny reality simply does not work. An open-minded attitude seems key here, to counterbalance dogmatism. In a significant way, this also summarizes the book, in that upbringing, education, career progression and academic and business acumen must incorporate effective learning as an essential part. Values, in general, as well as in business, are indeed shaped through learning. The business school of the future might be expected to be a learning institution, learning is seen as both a process or means, as well as an end. Case in point!
