Networking: An Emerging and Ongoing Dictum

Abstract

This chapter discusses why and how many of today’s modern organizations seem to pursue so-called networked strategies, based on flatter, less hierarchical, organizational structures. I provide six examples of such networking strategies, in organizations where I have been involved. For all of these, it is a matter of openness, to give more than one takes. Listening skills, effective communication and trust seem to be more critical than ever.
