Abstract

In his annual letter to the CEOs of companies in which Blackrock is a shareholder, and beyond, Larry Fink highlights the climate and carbon target as the centerpiece of the strategy of Blackrock, the world’s largest asset manager. It has now become a habit for one of the world’s most powerful financiers to highlight this objective in its annual communication. It is the foundation of a committed shareholder strategy that should contribute to the achievement of the objectives defined by the Paris Agreement (2015) in terms of global warming (maximum +1.5°C by 2100), and more generally the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of the Agenda 2030.
