Abstract

This chapter discussed the findings of the quantitative and qualitative analyses. Using a thematic analysis rubric, fourteen critical elements under four major themes of individual adoption decisions were identified and discussed. Under the “individual” theme, these include perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, personal innovativeness, prior experience and enjoyment with innovation; under the “organisational” theme, these include training, managerial support, incentives and organisational culture; under the “social” theme, these include peer influence, image and social network; and under the “industrial” theme, the embryonic and changing nature of the technology and community size. Discussion focused on how these elements considerably affect the employees’ ERP application adoption decisions or play an important role in shaping employees’ decision to adopt the ERP application.
